This work is called ARK. It is based on the Glenrothes concrete hippo form of 1973, and at the time of writing in 2024, I am in the process of constructing the ARK from 20,000 hand sewing needles.
The concept is outlined in the video below – a previous request for sewing needles – but the work also relates to how I believe that things come into being as ‘a universe of objects’. These ideas are shown in some detail in the other pages of this site, but I’ll also try to cover them as I publish photographs below, of progress made in the next couple of years.
